send/receiving vodafone webmail on pda

    Hi,
    I got a second hand pda recently and have attempted to set the outlook client up to access my vodafone email account. I have the pda connected to my home pc via a cradle and can access the internet etc through my home connection and i have no problems receiving mail that is sent to the vodafone account on the pda. However when i reply or try to send a email from the pda it comes back with a failure message "invalid message reciepents" - the following reciepents are invalid etc.
    I this set up as a pop mail account and am using pop.vodafone.ie as the incoming mail server and mail.vodafone.ie as the outgoing server.
    The pda is a hp ipaq hw6500 running windows mobile 2003.
    vodafone wont help as it is outside their support remit but the guy said that he thought that what i was doing should be possible.
