Can anybody tell me how accurate it is checking value of a car through revenue website. Somebody I used to work with said it is accurate, but I am not so sure.

Depends on the car - I valued a Nissan Primera at €3,000ish as a trade-in, the website says it's worth nearly €10k:eek:.

On other cars it's been more accurate, but that's a pretty big margin for error.
Doesn't take into account colour, registration county (this can and does matter in the big schmoke), reconditioning work like tyre condition etc.
They should have a disclaimer that it's for "entertainment purposes only"...

The site doesnt include "extras" which they like to tack on to modern cars now. Its also in their interest to keep the prices high to get more tax revenue.
