It's not your fault, but it really is Mothers' Day.

It's a bit like Love Day really - pay-dirt for the card companies, florists and chocolate manufacturers.
But no harm in a gesture to let your mam know how much you love her - I would suggest purchasing something she's mentioned she'd really like. Don't bother with flowers, chocolates etc - doesn't show much imagination. Unless of course she's recently expressed a wish for same.

Well see she told me what she'd like for her birthday, grand job. But she doesn't see to have anything she wants for Mother's Day.:o

hey listen up everyone, you are being manipulated.

After getting valentines day up the butt hole for the last two weeks and pressuring people to buy expensive gifts/cards/teddy bears for their loved ones, now the hard sell comes for Mothers Day.

Personally I'm fed up to buttcheeks with this constant drivel on radio/tv. internet and will do my usual thing-ignore the fcukers, and do my own thing in my own way at may own time.

    Wake up!!!!!

I'm firmly of the opinion that Mothers' Day should not be about presents (well, other than a little token, like flowers or something) but should be about spoiling your mam. Make sure she doesn't have to do anything for the whole day. Do the housework/running the house/cook dinner etc. Or bring her somewhere for the day and completely look after her.

On a Sunday my Mam doesn't do the housework (daddy does that:D) and he cooks the dinner.;)

See why I'm stuck. I always cook her a nice brekkie and a mean cuppa for her.

    Ah I just spoil her!
I go outta my way to find a particularly beautiful card and nice bunch of lillies. (she loves them)
I'm gonna get her something nice this year..just have to figure out what.
I recently discovered she'd saved old b-day/mother's day cards I got her.
Made me feel all fuzzy inside :D

    +1.

My mam's just going to lie there and do nothing. She won't eat much, but she won't have to cook either. Definitely no housework.

In fact, I don't even have to spoil her! After 4 years in the ground, she's well rotten.

    Now, when's Fathers' Day? :p

I suppose I had better get her something decent, my birthday is six days after :p I was born on my parents wedding anniversary, so I destroyed that for them, does that mean the gifts I give them for birthdays/Mother's Day/Father's Day/Christmas have to be better? :D
