BBC programmes on UK iTunes store

I saw the news that BBC Worldwide are putting up episodes of
popular shows (eg, Little Britain, Ashes to Ashes, Life on Mars,
Catherine Tate Show, Pint of Lager & Packet of Crisps, etc)
for 1.89Stg an episode (with no viewing time limit).

I saw some discussions about this on another UK based forum
and most thought that it would have mass appeal for customers
outside UK. I see that at this stage the titles are only available
on UK iTunes store. Do you think it is likely that BBC will get
pricing on these titles eventually for other country's iTunes
stores (including Ireland). I know that the BBCs iPlayer is
restricted to UK viewers since it's aimed at allowing license
players look at recently aired programmes for free. However,
I'd be surprised if BBC don't widen the iTunes tv programme
catalog to other countries stores. Any views ?

    Slightly off-topic, but it's worth mentioning http://www.channel4.co.uk/40d
Not iTunes friendly, but free programming for Uk and Eire, available in streamed or downloadable format (DRM'ed). All recent programming.

    Too many programs to mention..

*edit*: Can't seem to sign in at the moment though..
