Damaged leather settee seat cushions

I have a lovely leather suite, 2 settees and an armchair, probably 15 yrs old but in great condition apart from two or three splits (less than 1" long in most cases) caused by our now deceased lovely dog when he was a puppy. It was quite expensive at the time and I still love it and wonder what can be done to recover or renew before the splits get too bad. The colour is a deepish pink and may be impossible to match. Any suggestions as what I can do, either diy or professionally, would be appreciated. Many thanks
