No sound after download...

    I just download xvid video codec to enable me to watch a dvd but there is no sound. any ideas? I am using WMP

    I do have sound otherwise.

    DVD's aren't encoded in Xvid, they're in MPEG2. Regardless try VLC player instead, it usually proves better at identifying and using the proper codec.
