xlsx to xls convertor

I just downloaded this programme for converting files saved on office 2007 so they can be opened with office 2003.
i downloaded the programme ok, ran it but then all it says is installation complete but no programme runs.
has anyone used this programme to give a few pointers as to what im doing wrong, im pretty crap with computers so its probably blatantly obvious what im doing wrong.
any help would be much appreciated!

Its not a converter, its just an add-on to Office 2003 so you can view xlsx files.
You should now be able to open xlsx files with Office 2003.

well its just worked on a word 07 file but not for any excel 07 files. is it just supposed to work automatically once installed?

There's also the option to set Excel 2007 to save files in .xls by default.

Is this what you downed & installed? because it does work (Once your machine has all recent updates applied).
