As an example, London is reasonably easy as Ryan Air and Aer Lingus regularly do cheap flights, flight is short, public transport is inexpensive (with travel card) and there is lots to do there.... Anyone got a good suggestion of places to go for short trips? 1 or 2 nights max. My idea is to watch the prices and book 2 or 3 of these over the summer instead of a 2 week holiday to a holiday resort...
