    FRIDAY APRIL 18TH
The Sugar Club, Lower Leeson St., Dublin 2
    DOORS 11PM-3AM : ADM €15.00

We at Rescue Squad HQ are big fans of last years release by THE GO! TEAM “Proof of Youth”. So we’re tickled pink to have secured band leader Ian Parton and Kaori Tsuchida [Guitar, Keys, Vocals] for their debut DJ performance on these shores.

The Go! Team will join Dandelion on the decks for one night only at SASSY SUE’S GO-GO INEVITABLE.

With The Go! Team being a most experimental and eclectic outfit, we are expecting entertaining surprises in their set, as well as that big soul sound that holds their albums together.

For those of you yet to join The Team, a little back story:

In 2002 after a couple of years of bedroom noodling on an old 80’s sampler and a four-track tape machine Ian Parton releases the first Go! Team EP “Get it Together.” This was flowed in 2004 by the first GO! Team album proper “Thunder, Lightening, Strike.” At this point he the band was still pretty much a one-man show, but with rapturous critical acclaim and the demand for live shows, Parton went on a recruitment drive. The result was the addition of Kaori Tsuchida, Sam Dook (guitar, banjo, drums), Jamie Bell (bass), Chi Fukami Taylor (voc, drums) and Ninja (vocals, recorder). With this unruly line up the Go! Team toured the world making a wonderful racket, like drunken cheerleaders on a carnival float.

It was this gang, with the help of Chuck D (Public Enemy) and Marina (Bonde Do Role), that went to the studio to produce last years “Proof of Youth”. Since then The Team has toured with the likes of Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips before embarking on an endless run their own sell out shows.

Given their schedule the chance to see The Go! Team DJ at everybody’s favourite Friday night social is one not to be missed.
