Why are the goal keepers so bad?

Been playin pes08 on the pc on top player and every game the goal keeper parrys the ball or just does something stupid. Am I missing something, as in theres a setting to make the keepers better or is this just how it is?

It's just how it is, extremely frustrating. I find it's the same no matter what keeper is in goal. They don't catch the ball, they punch it. They can't hold it, they parry it and give away easy goals. It's just one of the many reasons why i haven't played pes08 in weeks, it really pisses me off.
