Why do we have to post iphone questions in one thread?

4,020 replies in a single thread now. How is anyone supposed to use that as a helpful resource? It's crazy. Have been struggling with my iphone for a couple of weeks now and I'm ready to fire it in the skip.

Because nobody likes the iPhone. It's annoying and gimicky and really isn't that great.

The PM made my night though mate, cheers :)

You do make a fair point about those big bulk threads ... but the main thing people should try is probably the search function. It helps to narrow threads down in a couple of clicks. Might prove less daunting then.

Try this link to search the thread in question and see if that helps: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/search.php?searchthreadid=2055113165

    Great idea!!!
There are so many different questions related to iPhone. A sub forum with threads like:
    • launch info
    • unlocking questions
    • data plans
    • services we need on iPhone
    • best place to buy one...e.g different country
    • etc

    :) Banned for impersonating a mod. :p
^Kinda true though what Random says- whatever about its merits as a device (the 3G one isn't bad) it's the marketing/hype that's just so fcuking annoying about it- offputting really.

    Not a bad idea.

Hi, there is a Feedback forum for this kind stuff. Been asked a few times now, and have given the reasons there a few times.

Big threads are no problem to the search function.

There are only 2 big iPhone thread on specific topics (currently):
    - Sourcing / Unlocking iPhones (not on subscription)
    - Launch of the 3G iPhone

This saves the 100s of thread asking questions like where can i get an iphone, how do i unlock an iphone... and there have been many, many, many all asking the same thing, I know I've merged them togehter :)

The latest one is about the launch of the 3G iPhone... and I'm happy to have that all in one place also.

Having said that there have been loads of other iPhone topics discussed with their own threads, try searching and you'll see!!

So there we leave it (again for now). I'm still not convinced of a sub forum, maybe in the future, not yet though.

I'm closing this now, as you can discuss it in the Feedback forum. I would direct link usually, but it will be good practice for you to search for the relevant threads there to continue the discussion :)
