some help moving a postgres database?

    A friend of mine has bought a new pc and wants to move his postgres database across. I have never done it and am no help to him...

    does anyone have a guide or know how to do this?

    or even better he is on MSN and if anyone could talk him through it would be great... his name is Chad and his MSN is gurminderchoudhary@yahoo.co.uk

    back it up, move the file that's created, and restore it in the new location

    both options are on the utilities menu, under database functions.
