Can anyone offer suggestions as to the best options? I'm saving for an event roughly 2-3 years away...and I'd like to set up a regular savings account...I'd appreciate advice.

    thanks

It depends on how much a month you can afford to put away. There are a few accounts paying 7% or thereabouts - but there are different terms and conditions on them. Some of them are only guaranteed to keep the high rate for a certain period of time. See http://www.moneyguideireland.com/regular-savings.
