A friend of mine who is a talented journalist, with a NVQ4 Journalism Diploma and one and a half year experience (he's only 19!) and he works for a regional paper in the north west. He has heaps of published material and had a few stories in the star and indo, but is on the lookout for a new job..anyone know anyone thats hiring, or any media specific recruitment sites because hes tried all the usual jobseeker sites (monster, irish, loadz a jobs etc...) but no joy so far..any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

God, i'm 19 as well and your friend is putting me to shame!! I know you mentioned that he has tried all the usual jobseeker sites but i was on nixers.ie recently and saw that the irish daily star were looking for reporters and sub editors. It might be worth a look as you said that he has had some work published there before.
