80gb external hard drive!

I have an 80 GB External hard drive but it is only showing up as as 2gb under my windows explorer in XP professional..I tried formatting it again..it shows up as ntfs...what am i doing wrong?

Check to see if there are any partitions on the drive.

If it's not a pocket portable & you have access to the drive itself? check the jumper settings on the back of the drive (If it has any)
