    Hey guys,
Myself and the other half are interested in taking some time out to do a bit of travailing.
We found a website for slatterys travel, anyone use this agent before?

Their offering a very reasonable 3 week sight seeing trip across America that we’re very interested in.

    Have a look here.

    http://www.slatterys.com/tours/tour.php?cPath=1&products_id=16

Anyone know more about this trip, or has anyone done it?
All comments. tips and advice is welcome.

    Cheers.

Sounds like an amazing trip & one I'd love to do, but at my own pace.... There's a lot of time sitting on the bus there. Slatterys are long established & reliable. Would you not consider doing a fly-drive which would be approx the same cost but much more flexible

if that is all by bus then thats is one hell of a tiring journey. I had travelled alot of north western europe ie. ireland to amsterdam, ireland to paris, ireland to brussels before doing american coach travel and some of those journeys mentioned there are horrible in one day. Washington DC to Niagara Falls one day is massive trip. yellowstone to salt lake is a long trip too (i have done that one by bus)

They also don't seem to be staying anywhere for more than a day, one day in vegas, cmon that is just teasing you :D

most of those coach trips will be with much older people those over 65.

Why not plan your own trip with either greyhound http://www.greyhound.com/home/ or amtrack http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage then you can stay in each place as long as you like. or fly from places like new york to washington and washington to niagara falls (which is about an hour from buffalo airport). There is nothing to see as far as scenery goes in the east, the journey between washington and niagara is just hours of urban sprawl. Bus it out west because the states of utah, nevada, colorado, arizona DESERVE to be seen by road

why any coach tour would include detroit is really beyond me, it just happens to be the murder capital of america  places like mount rushmore can be given a miss too, you will see plenty of american patriot symbols in Washington (and much nicer ones at that)

    Cheers for the advise.

We found this trip while messing about online, it did seen like alot of bussing, but i figured it's cheap and only 3 weeks long. We don't have the time or money for much else.

Might just do one of the shorter ones.
