Hey guys myself and a few friends are thinking of heading to the states for about two weeks. we're thinking of heading out around the end of may for about 16 days in total. Shannon would be the handiest airport to fly out from but we could fly out from the others. Our plan is to fry out from shannon over to san diego, stay there for a few days with a friend and then hit vegas for a few days midweek as it is the cheapest. and then up to oregon for a few days to another friend. Then home again

Does anyone have any advise on the cheapest flights from ireland to the states then out two internal flights and then back home again.

From Shannon you can go to the US with Aer Lingus (Boston, NY, Chicago, and a few others), Contential (Newark) and Delta (Atlanta and/or NY), check their websites for flights.

You might be able to get to San Deigo direct from UK or Europe and I am sure you can get to Las Vegas direct from the UK or Europe

For internal US flights try www.orbitz.com, not sure if they take non US Credit Card but give it a try.

Aer Lingus do deals with internal carriers in the states as well if that works out cheaper for you. I know they fly to some major hubs and then use American Airlines and others to go pretty much everywhere else. If you're willing to put up with a stop-over to get to san diego, which you'll have to do anyway if you fly direct from the UK!

Have put together a few different possible routes, it seemd to be working out at about 1100-1200 euro for all flights thats from shannon to san diego, san diego to vegas, vegas to portland- and portland back to shannon.

Can probable get it cheaper if I fly with continental from shannon to san diego. then get one of the cheap american internal flights from san diego to vegas and another one from vegas to oregon and then oregon back to shannon with continental, very complicated I know.

Does anyone know if the main flights will get cheaper as the time gets closer or will this be the opposite.
