    What local rags to you read or do you read any at all?

    Does anyone advertise in either? What response to you get from your ad?

    The Leinster Express seems to be getting thinner and thinner as of late. They haven't brought down their €2 price though!
    The Laois Voice seems to be good and filled with a lot of stuff. Some of it is interesting and some of it is just filler.

    Leinster Express would be better for the Jobs advertised but Laois Voice seems better on the News front.

    I just heard on the on the news that Kildare, Tipp, Cavan and Monaghan voice papers are all closing. I wonder what this means for the Laois voice

    wow that didn't last long! The monaghan one is only started a yr ago! As far as I know the mother paper is based in Belfast and is v popular I'd say they are just doing away withe one with very low sales.

    As i said I don't know if the Laois voice is affected. I was shocked to hear it as i was in contact with the Laois voice on Thursday. I was going to advertise in the paper and as a special the agent offered me a deal if i advertised in the kildare voice as well. Glad i didnt now :eek:
