Download Manager for Mac?

    Hey all,

I'll just explain about my situation at the moment. I'm in student accommodation with free internet and it's piss poor speeds at most times. Yet as a computer user I have stuff to be downloading ( midget donkey pr0n ;)) but I don't want to leave the rest of the house mates with really really slow and almost unusable speeds.

I'd like if I could copy and paste some links to be downloaded and cap the speed so other users wouldn't be greatly affected. I have a Rapid Share account too so most of the stuff I'm downloading would be from there.

So, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a preferably free application that would allow me to download Rapid Share links and cap the speed for me aswell.

Also, I'm not sure if a Download Manager is the correct term so if someone could let me know what the correct term used is then thanks.

    Danke all! :)

    /me gives questioning look!

I hope anything you are asking about downloading from Rapid Share would be LEGAL content. Otherwise, read the charter now before this thread progresses.

Midget donkey Pr0n is legal! It's just slightly weird :p

Nah, it's Legal stuff generally. I mean, even open source stuff is pretty big (considering my DL speed) so I would use this for everyday stuff.
