I'am just interested in there relationship. In season 1, I think she seen Locke in his wheelchair at the airport. Then on the Beach they have a vague discussion about the islands special abilities. In season 2 we learn that Rose's cancer had disappeared since she came to the island. My point? she tells Bernard in the season 4 opener that she "wasn't goin anywhere with that man". This despite the fact she is one of the only surviours to know John was disabled and that she didn't want to leave in season 2. I known its trival and not part of the main story line, but i'am just curious as to how the writers protray Rose now. Initially she seems wise and 'in the Know', a bit like a female Locke.

Look at it from Rose's POV. She had just watched Locke stumble out of the jungle and throw a knife into the back of that nice lady who was trying to rescue everyone. The Losties all think Locke is crazy. If not for Hurley no one would have followed him. And from the ff we know Hurley will one day regret this.

I agree that she is wise and in know about the island; she and Locke were both healed by it. But other than that they have little else in common. I mean if you think of the island as a god/religion than Locke is an extremist. Rose would never do the things he has done.

That's true but I still don't think she would want to get off the island. Then again, living on an island for that long without your luxuries might change your mind.

Also, I would've thought Rose would always have loyalty to Jack. He was sitting near here on the plane, was always nice/friendly to her. And was the only one worried about her when she went through that phase of sitting on the beach on her own and not eating.
