This is probably a stupid question, so i respect your time and effort if you reply!

I purchased a nokia 3600 the other day, one of the main reasons, was for msn on my phone! I went to the O2 website, to check how to get this service on my phone

    http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/connect/O2/Home/Personal/Services/Messaging/Instant%20Messaging

So i followed the steps, but when i got to the o2 internet menu, there was no lifestyle, or communications? Has this service been removed or is there a another way of getting this service, beacause in the message section there is an IM part so i know my phone can perform this!

Your help would be greatly appreciated

    Dave

MSN is also available free on 3 on all handsets, so there's an other option for you if you really want MSN

I don't want to hijack someone's thread but since it's here I thought it would be better than starting a new thread.

I'm looking for the same thing but really don't want to port to 3. I see from Nokia's website that the N73 supports it. Does anyone know if it's network specific? Even if there's data charges I'm not too pushed, I'll find some way of working with it.

Sorry to let you down, but the WLM app o2 are using is a DoJa coded midlet, so it will only run on imode handsets, like the SE K610im and K550im. Not too many phone that are imode nowadays, something they dont mention in the ads. Think even the K550 they sell now is the i and not im version which means it is not imode anymore.

As i mentioned above, it will only work on imode because it is doja java implementation.
