Reception Problem

Some advice please. To set the scene!, I have a Aerial and Dish joined via combiner in to one cable. At the TV I have another combiner splitting the single cable, giving me a cable for the digibox and a cable for the TV aerial input. Problem is when the digibox is powered, even on standby, reception on the RTE2 is bad. Switch off the digibox and the reception is good. I tried messing with the channel number on the RF Oulets in the Digibox setting, but no change. Any ideas, please

a frequent problem with diplexed satellite and UHF. Do you know the frequency you are receiving NET2 on? Try leaving the box on a channel with a high frequency such as Euronews and seeing if the interference is still there on the aerial?
Switching box to standby is not much use as LNB is still powered on a sky box.
Best solution is to run a separate CT100 or equivalent cable from dish to box.
Alternatively, swap digibox for a FTA receiver which has no LNB power on standby.

Thanks for the reply. Will try what you say about high freq'. I have moved from a FTA box to a digibox, which you say didn't cause the problem. Running a seperate cable is not a possibility.

Is all cable (including fly-leads) double-screened?
