    Hi Folks

Im looking for suggestions for a holiday this summer. Usually we like to go further afield but may be restricted to Europe this year due to cash flow.

Were looking for somewhere a bit off the beaten track i.e. not the usual sun locations. Looking for somewhere with sun and interesting things/activities to do. Went to Croatia a couple of years ago so not looking to go again but i suppose somewhere like that would be good.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

If you had the money, you could get a boat and "sail" down the Yukon river in Alaska, I did it with a bunch of friends.

Honesly the best trip and a great bonding experience for all of us.
It is dangerous we had a guide and are all good smimmers and a couple of the lads had been lifeguards and most of us knowing CPR. We took 3 weeks and camped each night, sometimes catching our own food.

    But its massively expensive.

Any 'eastern' European country is really good.
You could combine Czech Republic with Slovakia. Slovakia is absolutely my favourite place in Europe.

Slovenia is meant to be nice, friend of mine was there for a week or so and came back raving about how relaxing it was

I had a short holiday with my GF early this year where we stayed 4 nights in Salzburg, then caught the train to Munich and stayed there for another 4 nights. Was a great trip, but if your after sun, it wouldnt be the spot for you. Cost wise, seriously cheap, 1 way flights with ryanair and really good accomodation at reasonable prices. 2 amazing cities too..
