You should only need to remove the stereo to do this job,

maybe a tiny bit of the centre console.
What carkit are you taking out?

Is it a Focus or a Fiesta. either way you'll need a Ford stereo removal tool.

Relax you posted that 10 minutes ago FFS ::D

Why do you need to take the dash out to remove the car kit?

I presume its just the radio you want to take out

    It's a focus.

I'm actually removing the kit (for a 6233), I've got a different phone to the missus now so going blue-tooth.

The fascia was definitely removed during install (carkits.ie) as I saw them do it. The areal & power cables come out the side of the fascia at the ashtray, I'll have to remove that bit at least.

the existing aeriel (if applicable) and mic, power and mute cables may be able to be used if you're instsalling a Nokia CK7W
