advice needed for US immigration problem

    just back from a recent trip to the states and noticed that the green form they stick inside your passport is still there,my wife rang the american embassy and was told this was very serious as the us govt have no record of us leaving the states so we have to prove that we are home by sending maybe a payslip but im self employed and my wife is not working does anyone out there know if there is something else we can do btw i asked could we not present ourselves with id to the embassy it self but was told no,that we had to contact some place in kentucky(she wasnt very nice or helpful infact she was very rude and offensive and it cost 2.40 a minute)thanks in advance for any advice:)
