So I've been reading everything I can on the boards poker threads.

Learning as much as I can.

I've only played for fun in the past but now I'm putting time aside and actually really trying to play winning poker for the last month.

The "Share the fish" thread introduced my to Sharkscope. I searched my PPP profile and....

    After 429 tourneys I'm -$400 and have a average loss of $1 and a ROI of -27%

I'll just end this thread now by saying,

"Hi, my name is (CH3)2CHOH and I'm a Donk"

No Harm at all. I might be a fish at the moment (might always be) but I'm not stupid enough to play with anything else than spare cash.

    Couple of questions though.

Does the ROI figures include the sites rake ???

+EV and -EV what exactly does it stand for

Yes ROI% includes the sng fee. So a guy running at -10% is actually your average player at those stakes.

EV stands for expected value. To say an event is EV+ means that you have a postitive expectation for that result. Ev- a negative expectation. i.e. say you were offered 2 to 1 on a coin toss you have positive expectation as the actual odds are evens. For a fuller explanation on Expected Value - your friend is google ;)

One little tip Most people starting out btw play way too many hands. And normally way too many raggedy aces. A6o for example is a pile of crap. ATo is a pile of crap(usually) when facing a raise from a normal opponent etc etc.

    Good luck on improving.

Another point, SHARKSCOPE is not accurate for iPoker (PPP).

I played 3 STTs yesterday, won all 3 but only one shows on sharkscope.

After 6 mnts playing I thought it was next 2 imposible 2 win and flt like giving up. But stuck with it and started to see consistent winning eventually, it requires dedication or obcession whichever or a super brain. Sharkscope registers 90% of games from i-poker

Hmmm, ive obviously done it backwards then, i got off to a great start, now i suck!!:(
It would be nice to have that ignorance again though, like thinking it was ok to call allins with AJo and other similar crap:D

Bock on topic now(slightly)....how do you choose not to have your results on these sites? Or is it even possible? My last few months have been an embarrassment:rolleyes:

Yeah my sharkscope is completely wrong for ipoker. Has me down from the last month but I'm up a small amount.

apparantly, sharkscope actually miss more like 25% of ipoker results, and funnily enough many of the winning results.....
