Yep, I've just noticed I'm all wires and leads and pedals all over the floor, and so I reckon I need a nice neat pedal board. Any suggestions. They all seem so bloody expensive though. Or is it just me...?:(

the boss gt-8 is the one mate check it out on www.bossus.com.

most decent pedal boards are gonna set u back around 400ish maybe a little bit less but if you have pedals everywhere surely u have spent more the price of a pedal board on your setup

http://www.thomann.de/ie/boss_gt8_set_1.htm is the set i bought and haven't looked back since

You could try one of these:

They're cheap enough and handy for carrying about.

Depends on your needs. One with its own flight case could be handy. Although you could just make you own one. A sturdy piece of timber for the base and them some velcro. for the underside. I find the biggest problem is conncecting up the cables i.e. a lot of cables have quite awkward jacks which take up a lot of room on the board. I would recommend some of the george l solderless cables. The right angle jacks are very economic space wise and the cable is excellent as well as being very flexible. Scout around online, George L makes special pedal board sets with cable, connectors etc.

i use george l's and route the wiring under the board, theres a dc brick and 3 female/female jack adapters there too so i jus plug by fx loop and guitar leads in them, genius!

there about 50eu for 10 jacks and 20ft of cable and 10 strain relief jackets on ebay, dont think anyone sells em in Ireland

yup about 2 years ago, they were getin them back in soon,

they used to have some cable left there for ages too, now they jus use the planet waves ones which are bigger and less good and neat...

but the way the euro is on the dollar now, u can even pick em up for 40eu on ebay

they shud be a 5er each for the jacks and if u have more than 5 pedals u need at least 8 jacks, it brings up the cost a little butthe george l's packs are the way to go nice deal

i have a gt8 and its the best thing ever but i have also played some line 6 pedal boards which allow u to download a song set up straight from the net the gt8 is a complete multi effects that are made by boss for the guitarist who has the time and no how if your just jamming wit a few mates there are ones which will have songs and set ups for ya already i searched the land and found that the gt8 is the one but still have lots of wires for extra pedals though :D

    Al,
Is that a Danelectro talk box ? Are they any good ?
I must buy some new gear before I go completely broke..

thanks for the replies!!! ah yes, for got to mention what pedals i'd be using.

Boss blues driver > Zoom ultra Fuzz / Big Muff (sometimes, depends..) > Boss EQ > danelectro chorus > Boss delay > filter pedal (sometimes)

and I hope to add a tremelo pedal or possibly a loop pedal (the headrush)

I tend to chop and change. But apart from adding or not addinf the Big Muff, that's more or less my setup, bar adding another one or 2 pedals. e.g. compressor or a wah, or summit....

yeah there not bad, not as good as the heil one but they do get the job done decently they're simpler to set up
