Folks, My GF's father has SKY and for most channels I am getting the following error. "There is a technical fault with this channel, please try again later" I have reset the box and nothing changed. Rang Sky and they said they will have to send an engineer out at a cost of €100 and more than likely have to buy a new box cos the current box is only a couple of weeks out of warrenty!!
    The signal bars are high.

Any ideas on what I can try??

Heres what you should do....unplug the box and leave out for 2 to 3 mins....

Then remove the card and re-insert the power cable..Do not reinsert the card.

The box will eventually boot up and more than likely channel 101 will be bbc but not in all cases. Leave the box switched on for a few mins and once again remove the power cable and leave off for 2-3 mins.

Now re-insert the card and put the power cable back in.

Wait for box to reboot and fingers crossed problem should be resolved....

The €100 euro charge includes any parts that are needed to get you going again ,including a reconditioned box if needed.

Try the signal strenght meter in the installers menu
    press services 4 0 1 select
if it says there is no signal on this check the connections on the back of the box .

If none of this works ring sky and tell them you are cancelling your sub because you do not want to pay fee .They might waive the charge.
