    hope to be collecting my licence next week,then my .22 lr what scope would be good enough for this caliber.also im not pushed new or second hand. cheers .

    I suppose, if you're going hunting with it and plinking in the back garden a 3-9X 40 would be good enough. Simmons do a whitetail classic in 3.5-10X 40 on www.opticswarehouse.com. It would be worth a look IMO.

    AFAIK the whitetail classics are discontinued, Simmons is now AGS

    I got a Leupold 3-9x40 VX-ll at http://www.cabelas.com. It stands me €193 as I had a friend bring it home for me. It was $269.99 in the US at the time, I think its $299.99 now but they do specials now and then. Its also available at http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk, but it will cost you about €350 there.
