Astra28East auto scan only picking up foreign stations !

I have my dish pointing at what I think is the astra 28 east satellite and when I do an auto scan all it picks up is french and german stations none of the English stations are working all the BBC's and ITV's etc are coming up saying "NO SIGNAL" yet it's scanning on the astra 28east sat
I've moved the dish around in other directions and have gotten other sats with French channels and another with Italian channels.
Anyone know what's going on with it ?

You cant be on 28east then. Not sure what satellite its on. Give us a channel and frequency and Ill tell you.

Your dish is not pointing at astra 2 28E. If mainly French and German, channels your dish is at 19E, Astra 1.
You have to move the dish 9 deg. East (to the right, looking at the front of the dish.) Also tilt down a wee bit until the face of the dish is nearly vertical.
There should be found astra 2. Peak it using the signal quality display on your box.
Or call your friendly local sat specialist to do the job for you.

Thanks for the replies lads,got it going now,just moved it as you said Rippy slightly to the right and picked it up,thanks again

One thing though some of the stations are pixelating how do I go about clearing it up ? do I turn the LNB a bit until it sorts them ?

just down to fine adjustment now then. Move the dish VERY SLIGHTLY up, down, left and right while getting an assistant to check the signal strength and quality on the screen. LNB skew should be rotated so the connector is at about 7 O clock (looking at the dish). Good luck!
