Wall mounted TV: What to do with DVD & Sky box??

I recently mounted my LCD on the wall and was wondering what any of you did with your other equipment.

I have a dvd and sky box. I wanted to get a cabinet that just looked ike a normal living room press and have them in there hidden but in such a way that the remotes still work!
What I dont want is a typical tv stand or exposed shelves with the units on it - primarily because the little one likes to mess with it all! I also have a pc i was hoping to hide in there too. I have a wireless keyboard with touchpad so I dont really need access to the machine itself. Its just hooked up to tv for going online.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You have a couple of options if you want the stuff to be unseen but still functional with your remotes.

    1) you can get a cabinet with a glass front (frosted glass will do too) and you can just use as normal, but it still must have line of sight.

    2) you can get a universal remote with RF capabilities, and put an RF to IR converter in front of the IR receivers of your equipment.

    3) you can get an IR repeater, which you place one end of beside your TV and the other in front of the IR ports on your stuff.

I've no personal experience of this problem, but should all should work fine for you.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I was looking at getting IR extenders for Sky Box and DVD and just putting the units in a cabinet so they're completely hidden.
