what are your thoughts on the man that assasinated JFK?why did he really do it? was it for fame?crazed communist beliefs thinking he was doing the soviets a favour?he apparently had a rough childhood and had a history of mental problems, was socially alienated, with marxist ideals,he never stuck with a job or in any place for a very long time, basicly i think the man was just deluded, any thoughts?

Yep I agree. Simplest explanation that fits the facts is often the correct one.

After watching all of the television documentaries and reading books by Jim Garrisson, I do not believe Oswald acted alone if he indeed acted at all. But please don't cast me into the "Conspiracy Theorist" box for making such a statement.

Like everyone, I was brought up believing that Oswald acted alone. But when you read Garrisson's work and see the Zapruder film again, watching Kennedy's head fall back & to the left, (the Book Depository was to the rear & right of Kennedy) any right thinking person will see that a second shooter had to have been present that day. No trajectory physicist could provide any other reasoning for this. The Warren Commisions explaination on this is baffling.

There are far too many unanswered questions regarding that day to allow us place responsibilty for Kennedy's death solely at the feet of Oswald. Oswald did not get his day in court but was eliminated by Ruby in the underground carpark of that Dallas Police Station. How did Ruby gain entry there in the first place? Then there are the witness testimonies that Ruby & Oswald were seen socialising with Ruby some months before that November day. Then there are the statements that Ruby made while in custody expressing terrible fear if he "talked". Why was the car not subjected to forensic examination as it should have been, but instead repaired and cleaned down immediately? Why were there non-medical people issuing instructions during the autopsy? Indeed, why was the autopsy carried out in Bethesda and not in a Texas hospital as laid down under US legislation as demanded the Pathologist in situ in Dallas at the time. Why were so many witness testimonies disregarded? How could one person, who was not regarded as a topclass marksman by his military superiors, release so many accurate shots within such a short space if time? The list of unanswered questions goes on & on.

As I said, there are too many questions left unansered to allow us to say with anywhere close to 100% certainty, that Lee Harvey Oswald did all this - on his own.

But there were plenty of people and organisations who would want us to believe this one man story, thus removing that word "Conspiracy" and the even nastier word "Coup" from the debate.

Who benefited most from JFK's murder? The arms industry and the CIA (Kennedy was going to disband it).Lyndon Johnston benefited most....draw your own conclusions.

For anyone interested in the JFK assasination, Part 2 of a very interesting documentary is on the History Channel tonight. I found Part 1 by accident last night and it was very interesting. They interviewed Oswalds brother who believed his brother was the lone assasin.

History Channel at 10pm I think.

As above but also considering that in his marine days Oswald shooting scores on the rifle range was quite low, it's strange to think he got 3 / 4 shots off in so many seconds with a cheap wepon and hit the target in question. You would also as a would be assassin (imo) have to have nerves of steel to carry out such an act .If i was going to use any explanation pointing to a possible Conspiracy in JFK 'S assassination it would be this .

I think either way He was defo a nutcase

That's just one of many theorys.

Was oswald the patsy for the mafia ? was ruby ordered by the mafia to kill oswald ? was it the cia/fbi/castro ? ..were the russians involved? or was oswald just a crazed failure in life and achieved instant fame (and got lucky with his shooting skills ) for killing JFK ?
