    Need advice here lads!

Meself and a friend were planning to do a j1 together in san fran this summer but hes pulled out. I still want to go travelling this summer and have da craic in some other country, experience the country and not just vist it. The one thing im worried about is travelling alone! What the hell am i supposed to do in a country where the only people that knows me is some government desk jockey who just sees my name down on a piece of paper.
Well i still want to do the j1 but is it worth it when im going alone? If i was travelling alone would it be best to do interailling or the j1? Btw, this is the first time ive been abroad for more than 2 weeks.

    Thanks lads!

i lived in New York for three months and spent some time in Tennessee. although both of these places were brilliant I'd recommend the interrailling if you're planning on travelling alone. i recently spent five weeks travelling Europe and although it wasn't alone, the amount of people we met that started by themselves was unbelievable. and usually we'd hang around with them for the few days they were there. also with the interrailing you have the freedom of where to go provided it has a train station. albeit this is just my opinion. enjoy
