Today's Ibood...any use?

Right first off I haven't a clue about the varying standards of Laptops and find shopping around for them quite daunting.

I want to get an affordable/highest quality possible laptop for my Dads Birthday and I'm just wondering is todays Ibood offer any use?

Unfortunately it is let down by the processor, it would be a savage spec otherwise. Still good for the money though and will probably be fine for what he wants it to do.

Ye I forgot to say, it would be used mostly for Word Processing, book keeping, internet and watching DVDS.

Could be a long wait on delivery though if you did get it, Ibood are known for their varying delivery times and schedule.
Still though for the money they're looking for you do get a lot of laptop! (bar the cpu being a *bit* of a let down)
