    Hey Guys,

I'm getting rid of my old SOG vest and a drop-down MOLLE leg-harness which originally came with a pistol holster, both of which I got from eHobby Asia last year.

    Location: Dublin
    Price (Vest): €15 sold
    Price (Leg-Harness): €5 sold

The Vest has seen a lot of use and is comfortable to wear with little restriction on movement if any, and I seem to have gotten lucky with the one I got from eHobby as by-and-large it hasn't fallen apart and still seems solid enough. Being an eHobby creation, there are a few down-sides however
    • Snap buttons - hit or miss. Remedied with a bit of tape once you've secured your belt, so not a big issue
    • Clips - some of these have not borne load well. I've replaced a few of them with Lowe Alpine ones **
    • This vest is not MOLLE. The water pouch may have very limited MOLLE capability, but that's it. The rest of the vest is fixed

** You can pick up Lowe Alpine clips from the Great Outdoors just off Grafton St. in Dublin for 10c. I have a few spares that I will pass on with the vest.

    Capacity

The vest will take 8 M16/M4/AUG clips (not tried anything else); 2 per pouch and there are additional side-pouches for shoving spare batteries or slim pistol mags into. My USP Compact mags are too thick, but an M1911 mag should fit with little bother.

The two velcro tabs on the shoulder harnesses are pretty sturdy for attaching things to, and there is a velcro'd pouch that sits against the small of your back (hidden behind the water pouch) although it's not terribly big. The water pouch is also removable.

The water bladder does not come with the vest, in the interests of basic hygiene. I got mine in Army Bargains on Capel St. in Dublin for €3 (if I recall).

The Leg Harness can take MOLLE gear, and I only ever used it once (at Barrage for an insurance demo). It used to have a pistol holster attached, but I quickly discovered that I much prefer having my holster higher up mybody so this harness has been lying about doing nothing since mid-summer 2007.

The drop-leg can hold a pistol (or any other number of things). What you get is exactly what you see in the picture above for €5. It currently does not hold a pistol since I removed the holster (being MOLLE) and have it attached to my SOG vest.

So if you want the drop-leg panel to slap your own holster on, or mag pouches or whatever ... knock yourself out.
