    Im a 25 year 'Lord of the rings' life time fan, and in January 2009 ill be traveling to New Zeland in the hope of working as an extra on 'The Hobbit'.
    It quite a while till then so i have plenty of saving to do and not to forget convincing my mates to come as well.
    All i want to know is if any of you other Irish folks are planning to go too.

    Would, but New Zealand be a long way away. Also, money, the aul LC and not too sure Mammy and Daddy would like me to go off trekking to the other side of the world on the off chance i'd get to be in a film

    Was thinking of going to NZ for a year this winter anyway, so might as well sign up while I'm over there:D
    I look fairly distinct though, not too sure how suited to extra work I'd be...

    Fair play OP. Should be a bit of an adventure even if you don't succeed. As it is I'm already planning on tramping around the world for a bit, but best of luck!

    And I'm sure they'll let a few wierd looking guys into the battle of five armies. Tman, do you look more like an eagle or a midget?
