I played a limited amount of rugby in school and would like to play again, I never played for my school team as was busy playing other sports.
I dont know if a rugby club would be willing to take on what would basiclly be a rookie, i'm 6ft broad and stocky and can take a dig or two,

I'm based on the northside if anyone can throw me any ideas?

    cheers

Try Clontarf RFC or Malahide (there may be others nearer where you are) but both these clubs seem to have a very good set up and I know Clontarf have a few Junior teams that you could maybe get involved in.

The contact details for the clubs are available on

Unidare RFC are a nice bunch and have J3 and J4 clubs. The seemed to have quite a few newbs on their J4 squad this year and when we played a friendly against them, they made sure that everyone got some gametime.

They play in DCU's grounds and may well train there too.

    Best of luck.

    They've only got a J4 squad.
