This may be a stupid question but anyway here goes. I was walking to work today and I took a photo. A particularly apt photo for today. I can't get home tonight but I really want to print this photo today. I was shooting in RAW. Sorry if this is quite simple minded on my behalf but can I still go into a photoprinting shop and get it printed even if its in RAW format?

    Thanks

no, you have to convert it a jpg or tif file first in your photo software

Hey thanks I figured as much. Does anyone know anywhere in town where I could do this this afternoon?

Picassa can cope with RAW files so that should be able to convert it and edit for you.
You dont need to download anything, it works like a web page with all your editing tools on screen.

Again thanks, I have Picasa at home. However all i have with me at work is my camera and the CF card, no cable or anything. I doubt my systems admin would allow me to used the picasa browser anyhow. Am I completely snookered?

If you don't have a card reader or cable then you're pretty much out of luck I'd say. Shame you don't have someone nice like me in your IT department who would convert it and put it on a cd for you
