How to unplug my Presonus Firebox?

Not sure if this is a question for here or the Mac board, but figured those in the know here might have the simple solution. I have a firebox and a MacBook. Connected via FW400. Question is, how do I unplug firebox from Macbook without frying it and without having to turn off laptop? Should I use external power source?…

No Manual eh?
The Mac will power it down the fire wire cable, shouldn't need the PSU. As long as an application isn't actually running you just unplug in and off you go.
