As you may have heard on the radio Harvey Norman are giving 12% off everything (I think) for 12 hours today. Starts at 9 I think.

It may just be electrical items as the add definitely mentioned tv's and washing machines.

12% off in Harvey probably makes them only 10% dearer than DID and Powercity !! Went up to their relocation sale in Nutgrove - very poor indeed 100 to 150 euro off TVs and they were still dearer than Powercity !!

Just called up to them there, and they didn't know anything about the sale.
You sure you got the details right?

There was 14% off for 14 hours last weekend.

The wife rang & asked was there a sale on & where it was (furniture, or electrical etc), & she was told 'oh, we have sales on all the time'.

    Agree with previous poster above.

    Draw your own conclusions.

I find Harvey Norman very good, must be on my own though. There prices vary from store to store too. eg I bought a plasma, stand and 5 yr warranty for 1599 in one branch and in another one the Tv was 1599 on its own.

Not surprised, bought a laptop there before xmas @ €749... saw it in their brochure last week @ €799..... on display in store @ €899..... no wonder they're doing 12% sales

I've bought a Laptop, a PC, A HDTV and a Satnav from their swords branch in recent times amongst other smaller things - never had a complaint to make apart from a fault for which HP were clearly to blame. Sound deals if you look, although they have got expensive for desktop PC's since the sales ended.

Their customer service almost makes up for the little extra in cost though - and with the aforementioned exception increases are tiny, a tenner dearer than DID etc for some things or the like. You get what you pay for.
