so we're two matches in and Wales have more points than expected but can they keep going. England look poor. Ireland also look poor but we have seen snipets of what they can do. And France are on good form.

So people, who is going to be 6N champion?

France to win the championship but not the grandslam. Ireland or Enlgand to finish second on point difference. The oracle has spoken.

I think Ireland could just about edge it on points difference but will need somebody to do us a favour against France and we will need to be at our best to beat England in Twickenham. They SERIOUSLY want to beat us this year. We've gone and upset them by winning four in a row.

Still. It's only karma for the way they muddied Her Maryness's shoes last time they won.

I think this will go to the wire. I reckon some will get the better of France. It could be a case that France beat us, We beat Wales at home and Wales beat France leaving it to points difference where we rarely have the edge. For this reason I would play Murphy full back with 2 direct wingers-Kearney and Bowe against the Scots to try put a score over them but even then i wouldnt be overly confident!

I agree with this, with Wales to edge it on points due mainly to our keeping the points difference down last Saturday.

I voted for Wales. England will beat France next week-end and I don't see France beating Wales in the Millenium Stadium...

Wales will beat Ireland IMO. Possible Grand Slam for Wales.

Don't know about England beating France, but going with Wales also.

Wales have beaten a poorish England side and an average Scottish team so far. Can't see them beating France.

    France ftw.

Can't really see past France. England may beat them, but I doubt Wales will and I would fancy them to take it on points diff (I think Wales will lose to us as well).

Has to be France. Its quite possible they'll lose a game by trying new players, and tactics. Still they're bound to rack up big points difference and thats what won it for them last year. England might be the only team capable of stopping France getting a Grand Slam, but i wouldn't bet on it. Wales are overrated but they do have momentum. France should put a halt to that momentum. Yeh its France, no contest really.

France were so lucky to beat us if murphy had been in position instead of on the bottom of the rucks clerc would never have scored.. I mean a winger against a flanker(leamy) is no contest.. And of coarse the france coach made the biggest mistake of his life when france has the match won and over he brings a newby prop on against the mighty "bull" hayes again no contest...had we kept picking and running instead of kicking on at the end we would have won.. The french had fear in their eyes u could see it.When Ireland finally pulled the thumb out of the ass after it had been up there for months we showed we still have the potential to be the best team in europe if not the world. The world is just lucky Brian O Driscoll is getting old.. But once again a loss is a loss another six nations handed away.

Shhhhhh Steffano its all a big plan to lure teams into a false sense of security then when we go down under for the summer we whip out the EOS "classic" XV and BOD rips everyone to shreds

    Wales... grand slam

I think all the teams are too evenly balanced this year for a grand slam to be won.. All teams are relatively poor on average, despite having had bright sparks

last season we beat both sa and aus in the test matchs.. we narrowly missed out on a grand slam lets not even metion what we did to england if the wc had been earlier that year we would have slain all before us.. the same french team that just barely beat us that in the six nations beat the all blacks in the wc so i dont see how my comment is not believeable?

How many of those SA players then went on to be in the XV that one the RWC? How many Aussies were out of position in that game aswell? We won two tests against teams blooding players and experimentating with their sides. How did we narrowly miss the Grand Slam anyway? We were horrible inconsistent and thats a fact. Were has all that "winning" got us now anyway?

I sort of agree with that - the only thing is that we didn't scrape a win, we beat both teams pretty well, so you can't completely discount those games.

That said, we played well against a very poor English team, and against Italy. How we were even close to winning the French game is beyond me. The less said about the Scottish and Welsh games, the better. That it came down to points difference in the end flattered us.

we narrowly missed the grand slam because if we had caught one kick and held on to it with three minutes to go then it would have been ours

you could say the same about the english team that we hammered who went to the final and there wasnt much difference in that team

How? They made alot of change themselves if you compare the team that we hammered and the team that went to the final.

agreed, but the sad part is that we're the only ones not trying anything new or experimenting. a part of me would prefer to come out of this 6 nations in the bottom 3 but having blooded the likes of Buckley/Caldwell/Jennings/Heaslip/Sexton/Kearney/Fitzgerald/J Murphy. not to say if we did play these we would have come in the bottom 3, i feel with the majority of the 8 named in the starting XV we could have done better so far.

ps, before I get slated, i know Kearney and Heaslip started v France but my point is id like to see them all at some stage. and i also know Sexton is unfit to play at the moment!!!
