Dead Man Drops his aeg - returned parts AWOL

Right folks, I was shot out at HRTA last Sat and as a dead man I dropped my weapon a TM MP5 and it was promptly taken up by another team member. No problem there, except that when I got it back the selector switch on the right hand side had gone native and vanished, as had the body pin for the stock.

Having searched high and low on the net I can't find a replacement part anywhere!

Now it wasn't the airsofters fault. The selector had previously jumped shipped a few months ago, but I caught it that time and reattached it. It's just bad luck.

Anybody got any idea where I could get a new selector switch and body pin? It's breaking my heart that a top dollar AEG is pretty much useless without it.:(

You could probably make the pin out of a nut and bolt as for the fire selector the only place I can find that has anything close is wgc and they are out of stock at the minute :(

MIA have one in stock as far as I know. The MP5s of all manufacturers have that problem.
Give Derek or Mark a call.

Odd, but I can find loads for the CA version, but very little for TM's. I think TM would prefer it if you bought another aeg off them instead :D

I'm not to sure how I'd feel about somebody burning around the place with a piece of my kit. After all, it takes time and money to acquire these bits of kit, and less than the blink of an eye to break/snap/lose parts of em. If you take a hit and go down,or out, can you lay on your Aeg/GBB? and will that be enough of an indication to others that your kit is not to be re-aquired for continuation of skirmish?

Different scenario if your buddy has lost his piece, or is out of ammo, or the batterey has died on him and you offer them a piece to continue the game. Then its up to you at that point, and also a fair assumption that if he breaks it, then its down to him to sort it out....just a thought.....

Rules @ hrta state that you cannot take airsoft guns from players without permission. And "always ask" is pretty much a golden rule.

That seems fair enough to me:D cos if I'm "dead" than I ain't gonna answer!!
hope I don't come across as a tight a*se about this, but I'm very keen on keeping my stuff in one piece, if possible. If I break it myself, well you'll know about it cos I'll be the one giving out to myself in the corner!!!!;)
