Does Google do tours?

I am a third level computer student and the class is organising an IT related day trip. My classmates have shown an interest in seeing Google if its possible, I have tried to find a contact number but can't, I did find a fax number and faxed off a letter but I haven't heard from them.
Does anybody know who I can contact or if there are tours?
Also, any suggestions of other companies (in Dublin) that we could see would be helpful (I have also contacted Intel and Microsoft)

I didn't know what forum this should be posted in so sorry if its in the wrong place.

Give them a call as no doubt they receive so many faxes in a day that it may have been overlooked

Sales office may be able to get you a HQ reception no. http://www.goldenpages.ie/search/google.html

What kind of tour are you looking for?

A tour of the office and staff?

or a tour of the data-centers?

You are more likely to get a tour of the office than a data-center, since data-centers typically have a much higher level of physical security.

PS: I don't work for Google, but I do work for a large US based Internet company with offices and data-centers in Dublin.

The problem with google is they only have a fax number, i can't ring or email them. I will try the sales office as suggested.

The tour we are looking for is something related to the course we are doing (programming, networking and applications)

The two realistic companies are Intel and Microsoft, Intel only allow 25 on the tour but there is about 45 including a couple of lecturers, so I am trying to get in contact with Microsoft but the person responsible for the tours is not calling me back.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

It is unlikely google will give a tour of the office, any time I've been inside their building I had to sign a NDA

NDA aside, why would you want to tour an office? There's nothing special about it, just loads of people with computers and phones.

At least the Intel tour would be different, seeing the cleanroom and the people inside in the "bunny suits". Not to mention the robotics, the overhead monorail and lots more besides.

Looks like most other cube farms I've seen.

    Nothing hugely impressive

You may get a tour of HQ but there is absolutely no possibility that you will see a datacentre.

    Hi annex,

Can you PM me with some more details? We sometimes do visits from interested colleges, and have open nights/talks that happen every so often. I can see if either are happening or can be made to happen soon.
