Hi, I am thinking of applying for this. I visited Canada last year while on the J1 and loved the place. Has anybody done this before or thinking of doing it?
Im wondering do many young Irish go on this? You can basically travel anywhere u like in Canada and work for up to 1 year. Anybody have any tips or advice as I will be travelling solo, and I dont know anybody who has gone on this visa before?

    Hi Deadmoney,

I'm heading to Canada this June on this programme. Just in the process of getting VISA at present.
Really looking forward to it. We're thinking of heading to Toronto, to start at least, and taking it from there.

Any thoughts on where you might go?

Hi sf147, I'm still undecided on the whole Canadian visa. Part of me would love to just get up and do it, but the other part of me is considering going back to college. I'll have to see how it all folds out. The thought of going alone is also a bit scary to be honest. Yeah Toronto is supposed to be a great spot. I highly recommend visiting Montreal too. Very chilled out place. A popular trend on this visa seems to be working in the ski resorts up in the rockies during winter. Would be freezin'....but fun I'm sure;)
