Rakeback-How important is it to profit?

hi there, just a question i'm wondering about. i am not a regular online player and am just getting my feet wet this last few months. i played an 11 hour sesion (pretty much non-stop) 4 tabling 6-max .25-50 (cents euro) on Irisheyespoker. I finished the session euro30 down.

What kind of difference would rakeback have made if i had say a deal for 30% rakeback or whatever the typical deals are. Also i have never used pokertracker? Do you think that would have affected my return significantly?

Also i was grinding up slow and felt i was ahead of the game until the last hour or two (which was now morning time) and felt the games were getting much stiffer as the hours passed. is that because players were moving down levels becasue there was less players (% fish) as the numbers on the site went down (also tired wasnt an issue).

many thanks to anyone who can comment

Well the RB of 11 hours 4 tabling would be worth alot more then the €30 you lost.

Also this thread is OK for discussion but noone is to offer RB deals. Everyone knows the rules so stick to them please. Use sigs if you are looking for RB or if you are offering. Everyone has been warned.

Are you over-estimating Ste? I think 30% is about 1ptbb/100 on average. So if you were playing 300 hands per hour x 11 hrs =3300 hands or $33.

Also..thats a ridic long session. Play in 2 hour blocks. I dont think even the best players here could 4-table effectively for that long.

I just went and had a look at my PT to get ~3,500 hands of 50NL and it shows me rake at $183.65 for 3504 hands - so 30% of that would be ~$55, so maybe not well cover the €30 lost but I suppose would break him even. and obviously PT isn't all that accurate, but it's a goodish guideline.

there may be others but there is a rakeback calculator here

    <Link Removed>

according to the calculations would be worth over 60 euro in RB

I removed that link. If people want to look up RB calculators, they can use Google, basically every RB provider has one on their site.

I looked up a different calculator just now and I was getting $53 for 4 tabling 11 hours, but alot of it depends on what site you are playing on, as different sites calculate RB differently and make different deductions.

I'll repeat again, no links to RB providers at all in this thread.

EDIT: Also just for completeness, I checked 4 tabling for 11 hours on the above linked site and I got $52 a day, 4 tabling 50NL for 11 hours a day?? You might have made a mistake somewhere with the inputs to get €60?? RE-EDIT: Maybe you used a different site, I'm not sure but the page I used was for a Prima site, giving me the above figures. Anyway, it doesn't really matter.

sorry ste... I have no affilliation to the site I linked to was just trying to help...

I think a lot of the rakeback calculators are a bit ambitious anyway..... that one tells me if i 6 table 6 hours a day at 200nl I make something equivilant of the national debt..... unfortunately I do play these hours/stakes and dont get anything close to it..

bb wise rb is really important at micro stake since you're gonna be paying at least 6/7bbs in rake

Rake back is vital for any player really. Full time players can earn thousands in a month from rakeback. It can make a substantial difference in earnings. In a lean period easy to see how it can make a critical difference.
