Why would someone want to breed rats?

Not sure maybe to use as feed for snakes etc etc.

You've highlight a gap in the market just get yourself some humane rat traps and restyle the inside as a shaggin pad, lace their food with alcohol and yolks and let nature take it's course.

Thinking about it now, considering they're rats an all, nature will probably take it's course with out the need for drugs and alcohol.

Presuming you mean pet rats, the Dogshop in Liosban are breeding rats and have both male and female hooded kittens (baby rats) for €15 each. Give them a call on 091-760769.

Pet Haven in Tuam have some coming in in a while - call Keith on 093-27843.

I have several but none for sale at the moment.

It is illegal to feed rats or mice to snakes unless they are 'pinkies' which are purchased dead from a petshop.

+1. Pikey kids taste yummy to snakes. Spread 'em with Marmite for faster eating...

Actually they don't breed them, they just feed them after the pubs have closed and give them a warm place to continue their courtship rituals...

Or disgusting... On a bad day you can smell them from Middle street, but it gets mixed up by the stench wafting up from Quay street.

I don't know which disturbs me more. The fact that this thread is still going, or that Interceptor is so enthusiastic

He's obviously trying to recreate the Richard Gere incident.

I work in the city so can bring them in. The males are more likely to be double rex as the father is a double. Though saying that they don't lose their hair too much

Got some from a breeder in Galway. Seems all the rats in Galway are wild :P

(By the way they weren't for snakes, just as pets)
