Just incase anyone hasnt heard of these guys

    http://www.radiopopper.com/index.php

the units are undergoing finaltesting and certifiaction now

They take the ettl signal from the master flash/st-e2 transmit it using a radio signal and then back to optical pulse for the slave flash to read.

It reads the ettl signal by picking up on the magnetic pulse given out by the flash when the bulb turns into a electromagnet for a billionth of a second when transmitting the optical pulse and replicates this on the radio pulse.

So the reliability of Pocket wizards with the joy of ETTL

powered by a AA battery too and the guys who are doing it sound like they are absolutely bang on too

oh and there not just for Canon theyll work with CLS on Nikon too, olympus and pentax to follow shortly

eTTL is similar to iTTL of Nikon?

    Is there a difference?

Well the Canon system is obviously better :)

Seriously tho I've heard the Nikon system is easier to use and more idiot proof because the system is a bit smarter.

id assume they use slightly different ways of doing more or less the same thing
