    Hey guys,

From these posts it looks like you guys use more european based sites as appose to the american ones? no?

I use Poker Stars myself as they have the best tourney structures in my opinion.

What do u guys think? Any stars players here?

Any Euro based sites you'd advise?

    Thanks

    Tom

If your a tournament player then stars is the best site for you. It's also has the best software by a mile imo

Just donkaments and the odd cash for me on Stars. Ipoker based sites are better for rakeback etc but the connection droping made me switch.

In the last year I've moved totally to stars and play about 3 times a week on it. I still play Ipoker, Ladbrokes and Mansion if I see good value. But I rather player the 50/100 rebuy on stars, or the Sunday majors. I've not played on Full-Tilt yet, but plan too. I dont really bother with Party.

If your a regular player on the US sites, you should sign up to Pocket 5's, they have a leader board by Country, which is very neat.

Current leader is a player called Noel who is a neighbour of mine from Donegal. He's just signed up for boards and I hope to see him posting here soon.

    Stars is better for:

    - Structures
    - Software / network stabillity
    - Player liquidity
    - Choice of game types and levels
    - Customer support

Non US sites are better for

    - Rakeback
    - Softer games / more fish

If I was playing professionally I would spend most of my time playing on Green Joker Poker. As it is, when I play online, I play on stars.

I more or less agree with Lloyd. Customer support I find fine on most of the european sites too though. Full Tilt support is sh1te, they don't bother to reply a lot of the time. Also player liquidity has improved a lot recently on the likes of iPoker and Ongame. i've been looking at www.pokerscout.com on and off recently and it looks like iPoker is going to overtake Party Poker as no.3 any day now.

I played some sngs on Stars recently, the standard is a lot better than anywhere else. As a full time player these days it's not my site of choice as the games are simply tougher than elsewhere. And I find there seems to be enough choice of games elsewhere that I don't need to either.

I play on stars probably more than most boardsies - ROONEY_DIVES. In the tlb hall of fame... actually the only hall of fame im likely to make in my lifetime LOL http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/leader-board/halloffame/ (weekly tlb more than once).

I'd be winning that p5s leaderboard thingy too except im not signed up properly on that site.

As for other sites, i really cant comment either way. The first site i ever played on was 24hpoker.com, just freerolls, the 2nd was stars and i liked it better than the other one so stuck with it. I really should try some more sites out, but i like the software, tourny structures etc on stars and the challenge of the good competition. I imagine there is easier opposition elsewhere though.

Cash players will generally use European based sites as they're supposed to be softer and have rakeback.

It makes sense for tourny players to play the big US sites as nothing compares to what Stars/FT have to offer in the way of tournies.
