Answered the door one evening about 2 weeks ago and there was the sales person who said she was from sky, very chatty, the type its hard to get a word in to say you're not interested. She rattled on about a sky promotion, thought i'd have a listen to see if it was worth my while though i didnt think it would be. Standard spiel for a few mins but then she asked how many of us in the house, just yourself and the gf\wife? I answer that getting a bit uneasy. Then she says that she needs to come in and check my tv to see if "sky compatible" and actually starts to take a step forward to walk into my house! At this point i was completely thinking WTF!?! I blocked her and said i actually wasnt interested as i get my bb of ntl as well and sent her on her way, politely.
Is this normal sky sales person behaviour or am i right to be paranoid? Dont like letting strangers like that into the gaff incase they are just really casing the joint.

You certaintly were right not to let her in Scruff ;) ,I would very much doubt that she was from Sky.

I got a call off one of our customers today here in Limerick that some rep posing as a sky customer service team member called to ask if everything was to his satisfaction and did he need anything else done in the near future....this alarmed him as hes been using the company I work for years...
