Virgin Atlantic - Dublin to NYC

    Hi all,

Trying to book a surprise Valentine's Day trip to NYC for a week at the start of March for the missus. Really want to go by Virgin Atlantic, but I'm finding it quite difficult to get my hands on some tickets (travel agents not calling back, flights booked out etc...)

Anyone know what websites/travel agents are good for trying to purchase Virgin flights? I'm trying to get the flights booked as quickly as possible, given that tomorrow is the big day!

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

    www.gohop.ie

    is good for flights ,

however I dont see any direct flights from Dublin to NYC ( all through heathrow) for Virgin atlantic ( who are also the most expensive by the way)

    Hi Boobysands81

Virgin do not operate out of Ireland. It will have to be via london. Just to let you know that Continental Airlines code share with Virgin. So if you seached and booked for flights from London LHR to New York on the continental airlines website it is actually Virgin Airlines you would be travelling on. So i would suggest that you check prices for your selected dates on the Virgin website, the continental website and as the previous posted said gohop or ebookers.ie. That will give you a fair overview of prices. With it being so close to travel good fares will be hard to come by.

    Best of luck with it.

Cheers mate, 2 tickets for just under €1,100 on that website, looks like that's the one!

Hey Rockwell, no worries about via London, I know she'll be made up with the trip on Virgin as we spent Christmas and New Year in Orlando and our Virgin flights were cancelled by the Tour Operator three weeks beforehand as they had lost all our details so we had to rebook non-Virgin flights.

Will check the Continental website to see have they anything a bit cheaper but I'm just happy enough to get the flights at this stage.

Thanks for the advice lads, anymore would be much appreciated.

    Contact Virgin's telephone reservations.

They'll book you from Dublin to Heathrow (normally with bmi), and from Heathrow on but still give you the web price for their flights as you can't book directly from Dublin on their site.

    Thanks for the advice.

Just booked with Club Travel though - €454 each return! Delighted with that price! Cheaper than Virgin's website...
